About 3SN

The contributors of the Third Sector Network (3SN) blog were all part of the second inception of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service Summer Fellowship held in Austin, Texas in June of 2009. Working under the guidance of Dr. Peter Frumkin, we completed papers that are now part of the RGK working papers series and have created this blog as an extension of the crucible of ideas incubated during our fellowship.

We come from different parts of the country, work in different disciplines, are at different stages in our academic careers, and have a variety of professional experience in various sectors. What we share is a common desire for the development of theory and practice in the third sector, including specific topics such as volunteerism, philanthropy,  public/private/nonprofit distinctions, nonprofit sector awareness, corporate social responsibility, social innovation and enterprise, leadership, ethics, governance, and accountability.

Please feel free to contact us at any time to share your feedback or insights.
